1
How do I book an appointment?
All cases need to have been referred to me by your veterinary surgeon. Initial contact can be made by either you or your vet but I cannot see the case until I have written consent from your vet together with the animals' medical histories. This is because there is a significant overlap between health and behaviour.
Feel free to send me an email at madeleine@catbehaviourvet.com and I can help guide you through the process. Alternatively, ask your vet to complete the online form here.
2
What information do you need from me?
After you or your vet has contacted me, you will be asked to complete a detailed history form so that I can understand what the behavioural concerns are. Once I also have the information from your vet I will be in touch to organise an appointment.
3
Payment
Payment must be made in full prior to any appointment. For details on cancellation charges please see the Terms and Conditions page.
4
Travel
Travel costs within 1 hour's drive of Deal, Kent (CT14) are included. If further travel is required then this will be charged at £1 per mile (return).
5
Insurance
Behavioural consultations may be covered by insurance - please contact your insurance company to check. Please advise them you have been referred to a behaviour vet who is also a provisional member of the APBC. Completion of insurance documentation comes with an additional £25 charge to reflect the time taken to complete the forms.
